Oviedo Retainers
Retain Your Healthy, Confident Smile
Retainers at Innovative Dental & Orthodontics are made to help keep your teeth in their new positions after orthodontic treatment. Dr. Sejal Kamat will help you understand when and how to wear your retainer, so your results can last for years to come.
Retainers Made for Your Smile
After braces or clear aligner treatment, your teeth naturally want to shift back toward their old positions. Wearing your retainer is the best way to protect your results and keep your smile straight, healthy, and confident.
Dr. Sejal offers custom retainers to hold your newly aligned smile in place, and our team will recommend the style that fits your smile, routine, and long-term results.
Clear Retainers
Clear, comfortable trays made from digital scans for a precise, custom fit. Because they are removable and nearly invisible, they fit easily into your daily routine while helping your smile stay straight.
In-House Retainers
Created right in our Oviedo office using digital scans and in-office 3D printing, so replacing a lost or broken retainer can be faster and more convenient.
Fixed Retainers
A thin wire bonded to the back of the teeth, most often behind the lower front teeth, working quietly in the background to protect your results.
Phase 1 Retainers
For some younger patients, Dr. Sejal may use a Twin Block retainer to support jaw positioning until your child is ready for Phase 2 treatment.
How To Care for Your Retainer
- Wear your retainer as directed by Dr. Sejal Kamat and our team.
- Remove it before eating, brushing, swimming, or contact sports.
- Keep it in its case whenever it is not in your mouth.
- Clean it once a day with a toothbrush and dish soap, then rinse it with cold water. Avoid hot water.
- Keep it away from heat, including hot cars, washing machines, and dryers.
- Call us as soon as possible if it feels loose, tight, cracked, broken, or is lost, since teeth can shift quickly.
