Single Dental Implant

Implants Designed Around Your Smile

Losing a single tooth affects more than your appearance. It changes how comfortably you chew and how your jawbone and neighboring teeth hold up over the years. At Innovative Dental & Orthodontics in Oviedo, we start with where your final tooth needs to sit in your smile and your bite, then work backward to design everything that supports it.

Our dentists, Dr. Maitri Patel and Dr. David George, have advanced training in implants and restorations, and our board-certified prosthodontist, Dr. Amit Kamat, leads every case. We 3D-print your surgical guide in our own office and carry that same plan through to your final crown, all under one roof. We put care, attention, and expertise into every implant, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

What Is a Single Dental Implant?

A single dental implant is a three-part prosthetic that serves as a complete artificial tooth. Unlike a bridge, which relies on adjacent teeth for support, an implant stands independently.

The titanium post fuses with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration, creating a strong, stable foundation. Once healed, an abutment connects your custom porcelain crown—so your replacement tooth looks, feels, and functions like a natural one.

Most of the attention goes to the implant itself, but the part that matters to you is the tooth. That is the part we design first, and everything underneath it is built to hold that tooth exactly where it belongs.

Why Choose Innovative Dental & Orthodontics for a Single Dental Implant?

Your Tooth, Designed First

We determine where your final tooth needs to sit before we plan the implant, so the foundation is built around the result.

Prosthodontist-Led Team of Dentists

Our dentists have advanced training across implant and restorative dentistry, and our prosthodontist, who specializes in tooth replacement, leads every case.

3D Imaging and Digital Scanning

A 3D scan of your jaw and a digital scan of your bite come together in RealGUIDE implant planning software to pinpoint the ideal position.

A More Comfortable Placement

Guided placement is quicker and more precise, which means less disruption to the surrounding tissue and an easier recovery.

Surgical Guides Printed In-House

We design and 3D-print your custom surgical guide in our own office, so the placement follows the plan precisely.

One Team, Start to Finish

The same doctors handle your imaging, planning, surgery, and final crown, so no part of your case gets handed between offices.

The Single Dental Implant Process

Are You a Candidate?

Most people missing a single tooth are candidates for an implant. During your consultation, our highly trained team completes a thorough assessment. You are likely a good candidate if you have:

  • One or more missing teeth
  • A healthy jawbone with adequate density
  • Healthy gum tissue free of periodontal disease
  • Good overall health
  • A commitment to good oral hygiene

If we find bone loss, that does not rule you out. It simply means we plan a graft first, and because we already know where your implant needs to go, we know exactly where that bone is needed. We work with most dental insurance and offer flexible financing through Cherry.
